Late August in Perugia typically features hot and sunny conditions. Average daytime highs reach around 32°C (90°F), while nighttime lows are approximately 17°C (63°F). The humidity is generally moderate, and while rain is infrequent, occasional thunderstorms may occur (fingers crossed this won’t happen at the wedding, please).

Clothing (beyond the weekend wedding dress codes):
Lightweight Apparel: Pack breathable fabrics such as cotton or linen to stay cool during the day. Consider items like shorts, sundresses, and light shirts.
Comfortable Footwear: Given Perugia's hilly terrain and cobblestone streets, sturdy walking shoes or casual sneakers are advisable.
Sun Protection: Include a wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses to shield yourself from the intense sun.
Evening Layer: While daytime temperatures are high, evenings can be cooler high up (also in the city). A light jacket or sweater is recommended for nighttime outings.
Toiletries:
Sunscreen: Essential to protect your skin from strong UV rays during outdoor activities.
Insect Repellent: Useful, especially if you plan to spend time in outdoor settings, e.g., hiking.
Accessories:
Reusable Water Bottle: Staying hydrated is crucial in the summer heat.
Umbrella: Summer thunderstorms can occur unexpectedly. A compact umbrella will keep you dry during sudden downpours.
Daypack: A small backpack or crossbody bag is handy for carrying daily essentials like water, maps, and personal items.
Health Essentials:
Medications: Bring any prescription medicines you require, along with a basic first aid kit containing items like pain relievers and band-aids.
Miscellaneous:
Travel Adapters: Italy uses Type C, F, and L plugs. Ensure you have the appropriate adapter for your electronic devices.
Swimwear: You will want to cool down, so pack a swimsuit, slippers and bring a towel!
